Sea, sun, and sand are so much a part of Antigua that they have been incorporated into the national flag.
Tourism is an important industry. It accounts directly or indirectly for a large percentage of GDP
and at least half the jobs. It is also responsible for about 20 percent of all foreign exchange earnings.
Tourists visit hotels, restaurants, duty-free shops, boutiques, entertainment and
gambling establishments, car rental agencies, taxis, and miscellaneous other businesses.
